Notification of Departmental Promotion of Punjab Government School Teachers under 3 tier formula for year 2013

The Punjab Education Department Schools Wing has notified the promotion of School Teachers under 3 tier formula. Which is based on the 35 : 15 ratio. This means that under this promotion criteria PST teacher of BPS-09 will be promoted to BPS-12 on the ration of 35% while 15% will be promoted to BPS-14 EST scale. Similarly 15% of EST teacher will be promted to BPS-16 and 35% EST will be promoted to BPS-15. And 35% SST will be promoted to BPS-17 and 15% will be promoted to BPS-18. The thing to remember here that all these scales are the personal scales of the employees i.e they will get the pay and allowance according to these scales but will remain on the previous designation.

In total there were 1313 candidates who fulfill this criteria of the promotion in District Rawalpindi but out of these 1313 candidates 277 cases has been deffered because of not submitting the required document by the due date. So in long meeting it has been decided that these promotions will be applicable from 29 Jan 2013 and the deferred cases will be held pending upto the next promotions.

It is further informed here that the teacher of Punjab Education Department remains in the designation at which they were selected for almost 15-20 years and when the time for there promotion came the department did not properly informed them to provide there documents and they lost there promotion. However, the candidates whom cases have been deferred have decided to got to court against this case because they were not informed well before time.

The Government of Punjab Higher Education Wing has promoted 180 Associate Professors to Professor scale. These Associate Profesors were working in different Educational Institutions of the Punjab in BPS-19 have been promoted to Professor BPS-20 scale. From 180 promoted Professors 25 are from the District Rawalpindi. Before this only four or five promotions were being done every year, but this is first time that such number of promtions have been done. The newly promoted professors have been appointed to new places.
This news not only surprised the associate professors but also make them happy. Furthermore, almost two thousands lecturers working on contract in 450 different colleges have been regularized.

Solar Lamp For the Students of Punjab Government Secondary / Higher Secondary Schools

The Punjab Government has decided to provide the solar lamps to the students of Punjab Government Educational Institutions for class 10th and 12th students on the basis of their previous performance. According to the official of the Punjab Government these lamps will be awarded to those students of 10th and 12th class who have obtained at least 60% marks in their previous examination i.e 9th & 11th exam. The lists for distribution of solar lamps for Punjab Government schools Studnets has been finalized keeping in view the gazeette of the examination and it is expected that these will be distributed within one month.
The solar lamp contained a solar unit with battary a bulb and plate of solar cells. The approxiamated priced of on solar unit which will be distributed to the student ranged Rs. 25000 to Rs. 30000. The purpose for distribution of these solar lamp is that the students can prepare for there exam without any hurdle like loadshedding which is the major problem in Pakistan due to which student cant prepare for examination. Overall this is very bold step from the Punjab Government to overcome the problems of the sutdents and to increase the literacy level as well as education standard of the Pakistan.
