Problems in Appointment of Director Public Instructions (DPI) Secondary (BPS-20)

According to the daily newspaper "The Express" dated 30-10-2012, The Education Department of the Punjab is willing to fill the post of Director Public Instructions (DPI) Secondary by a bureaucrats , while the senior teachers protested against this because according to the rules this post should be filled from the senior teacher of the education department. There are almost 144 senior teachers in BPS-20 in the Education Department of the Punjab. The post is teacher cadre post and it must be filled up with a teacher said by a senior teacher. The Education Department does not want to angry senior teachers as well as the bureaucrats so it decided that this post will be filled according to the Punjab Government desire so summary in this regard will be sent to the Punjab government for further action.

Retirement Age For Government Employees Extension

The Government of the Pakistan extended the age of retirement from 60 to 62 years by allowing 2 year extension in the last retirement age. That mean that now a government employee can serve the government upto 62 years. The government employees specially those who were near retirement celebrated this news with excitement. The notification in this regard has been issued and the approval was taken from the President of the Pakistan instead of the Parliament. The decision was taken by the government to benefit its secretaries who were going to retire in next few months. This decision will not only save those Peoples Party secretaries but also will allow the present government to save the funds which were going in respect of pension and gratuity. The labor union strongly condemned this decision because they were considering to lower the duration of the government servant but the decision went straight opposite.

Latest News / Updates Regarding Notification of Conveyance Allowance by Punjab Government 2012 - 2013

The federal Government Revised the conveyance allowance for its employees and the employees of the other Provincial Government were considering the same increase in their pay but after a long delay there is still no news regarding the increase in conveyance allowance of the punjab, sindh, Balochistan and Khayber Pakhtoonkha province. And it seems that the employees of the provinces will not be awarded to such an increase.

Many websites and sources are misguiding people regarding this issue that the provinces have also increased the conveyance allowance. Many of the people and member of this blog asked me about the fact of the matter and after contacting to the official of the different government institution i found now such news that punjab government will increase the conveyance allowance of its employees as the federal government did in its decision.

On the one side the government is thinking for the unified pay scale but on the other side this type of difference in pay scale is increasing disappointment in the employees of the provincial government. The Provincial Government should take the step like the federal government to increase the conveyance allowance of its employees.

Anyhow it is informed once again that there is still no notification for increase in conveyance allowance of the provincial / punjab government employees. Punjab Public Service Commission Jobs Advertisement for teaching Posts 2012 - 2013

Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced different posts of teaching in the Advertisement No. 22/2012 on 07-10-2012. The posts include the Senior Headmaster, Headmaster, Senior Subject Specialists and subject specialists (SS) for different subject throughout the province of the Punjab. The last date which was intially given as 29-10-2012 was now extended to 05-11-2012. The candidates can apply through online from Punjab Public Service Commission Website. A fee of Rs. 400 for each application must be submitted in national bank of pakistan. The submitted applications can be edited upto the last date. You must apply online fill up application and note your application number and then print out your application on a legal size page by providing the application number and CNIC number.

Extension in Last Date of Submission of Application For Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) 2012

The last for submission of application for the Posts advertised by Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) in advertisement no. 22/2012 on 07 Oct 2012 has been extended to 05 Nov 2012. The official of the Punjab Public Service Commission informed the media that this extension was given due to Eid Ul Azha Holiday. Before this last date was 29-10-2012 but due the eid holidays upto 29-Oct-2012 the extension was granted.

Now the candidates willing to apply for the posts of subject specialist (SS), Senior Subject Specialist (SSS), Headmaster, Senior Headmaster and other posts mentioned in the advertisement can submit their application to the public service commission through online system upto 05-11-2012.

The Commission also informed that all other conditions and criteria will be same and there will be no change except the following one change:

"In continuation of the consolidated advertisement no 22/2012 published on 07-10-2012 for 122 posts of Headmaster/Deputy Headmaster and 154 posts of Headmistress/Deputy Headmistress (BS-17) the qualification mentioned after OR “M.A/M.Ed(2nd division) from a recognized university or equivalent qualification “ may be read as “M.A (Education) / M.Ed(2nd division) from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. Other conditions will remain unchanged."
